This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the LORD: I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” Hebrews 10:16
Matthew 16:18 describes Jesus telling Peter, “you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it”.
Jesus Christ declares himself to Build, and building up the church means building up the people of God. Our God loves and cares for his people and his plan for their good is linked to each member of the congregation. An important part of the building up of the church comes through the spiritual gifts that the Lord gives to his people.
Jesus spoke of building his church not on a person but on the truth that he is the Christ, the Son of God, the promised Savior from sin Jesus was effectively saying, “I will build my church on the kind of faith that boldly confesses Me as the Christ.”
Sin is a refusal to admit that God knows better than I do,
by doing my will, not His.
Worry is doubting that He will do what is best for me…
